LOV News March 2017

Rate Change

The Land of the Vikings board has determined that that after careful consideration, our prices must be increased effective March 1, 2017.  We have done our best to keep prices down, but our cost of doing business has increased, primarily fuel and energy costs, and LOV’s prices have remained unchanged since the 2012-2013 season.

View our current rate sheet for more information.  We look forward to seeing you soon at LOV!

Ski-For Light – Barbara Berntsen

LOV was pleased to host the Northeast Chapter of Ski-for-Light last weekend. This is a program where blind people and guides work together to cross country ski and do all sorts of outdoor activities. They did get a chance to ski on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday but the temperature of 60⁰ melted most of it. Look closely at the picture and you will see the rope going up the mountain about 150 feet. The guide assisted each unsighted person up and down the mountain. They are courageous and a fun group to visit with. They thanked LOV board of directors president Roy Berntsen and all his workers for “bringing them home again.” Roy and I had a wonderful time. The summer program will be held July 23-29, for those who want to come and visit but they are always asking for guides to assist in the program. Please let Ken Mullen know if you want to join them at: he will be glad to sign you up.
