Many of our lodges have been successful in attracting new members – Gateway to Florida, Hampton Roads and Nansen come immediately to mind. Likewise many of our lodges have been successful in retaining current members – Bernt Balchen immediately comes to mind. Finally, we have our new lodges – Norsk Carolina, New Bern – how do you do it??? Share your experiences so we can all learn!!

District Three had 3 of the top recruiters in the order in 2009 including the number one recruiter, Kent Larson from Gateway to Florida. Kent recruited 32 new members. Art Ellinson from our new Drammen lodge recruited 18 new members and Dave Thorson from Nansen Lodge recruited 14 new member.
Congratulations to all three. Lets see if we can’t do as well as they did this next year.
On Feb 18 we had 7990 members. This is the largest number of members we have had in some time. Lets see if we can’t break 8,000 members. So if you are sitting on some applications send them in or go find someone to fill out an application and send that one in. We need 11 new members ASAP

Terry Francis single-handedly attracted about 80 members to the new Gulf Coast Viking Lodge, Estero, FL. Simply by getting out there and asking.
